June 25, 2023This product is unusable for anything other them lounge around the house in pajamas... but definitely NOT to "sell" to anyone, or to build an actual product around. Three reasons...
1.) By far the most bewildering decision Printful has made here, is to put the stitching/seams for the leggings on the outside of the leggings, clearly and visibly showing. It makes the leggings look extraordinarily cheap (when in fact they are not, they would otherwise be just as fantastic as the plus-size counterpart leggings). It's just the strangest decision when clearly there is another sewing/manufacturing technique that tucks the stitching/seams inward.
2.) To make matters worse, Printful only allows either black or white stitching, which is great if the leggings are black or white, but if they are red, green, yellow, orange, etc. (you get my point), the stitching stands out like a sore thumb. Not to be confused, however, even if you could choose a stitching color, this would not erase the fact that the stitching is still on the outside of the leggings. Being able to choose a stitching color only improves the situation by a single degree, and thus still makes the leggings unusable for us. The plus-size counterpart leggings look well put together, well made, and with a great quality print, you can really have some fantastic leggings. So long as the stitching is on the outside, there just isn't a way to get the same equally as impressive and quality "looking" leggings with the regular fit. So now we can't even offer regular fit leggings (at least not through Printful).
We try to show the difference in the image provided, but you'll likely need to "right-click" and open the image in a new window to see it in fuller size.
3.) This one is really big, and many others have mentioned it in other reviews here. You only have the option to print on white leggings. The result for anything other than light-colored prints is underwhelming. If your print design is on the darker side (red, blue, brown, etc., and certainly black) then when the leggings are put on even with a naturally fit/stretch on the body, the white fibers underneath the print become exposed and it literally changes the color from red to pinkish, from black to grey, from blue to light blue, etc.) even darkening the prink to try a compensate does not work, as it's the white fibers that ultimately still show through and in essence change the color appearance and you barely get anything close to what you were looking for. So, it just becomes a matter of can you live with that effect or not. In most cases, it's not the end of the world for us, but really wish this weren't the case.
Printful, please allow the option to have different color leggings as a base, with either true white fibers, or true black fibers. Currently, we can choose a background base color for the leggings, like black, but if the actual fibers it is printed on are white, then it's the white fibers that inevitably show through when the leggings are put on. Wouldn't hurt to have some other base fiber colors as well, but at least add black. Otherwise, right now, it's impossible to have full black leggings, and that's got to be the most popular, in demand, and flattering leggings color. So a huge miss there.
Printful, fix these issues, please!

January 23, 2023First off, I was surprised at how accurate some of the other reviews were of this item. And it falls exactly in line with some of the things I would say about the other fitness wear - the sports bra and the leggings.
1.) The interior color is white and it fades out the printed colors when the garment is stretched - this could happen (permanently) for ladies that naturally have rounder features in certain areas, or (temporarily) when bending over. While I don't find this is a total deal-breaker, I would love it if the interior color could be black because I see this stretching happens also around the seams and frankly if you have a darker design it looks kinda cheap (as if faded on the edges) - the garment is of good quality and so this shouldn't be happening. I think a great solution would be to be able to do a color-fill to the inside of the garment so as to match the exterior colors, thus making the fading effect less noticeable. – For instance, for whatever reason on the crop top, the band around the front under the chest area is faded looking (vs. appearing as a solid color) for no good reason – and here it is not even being stretched.
2.) The shirt, to my surprise, actually, is made of the exact same material as the leggings and the bra. For the price and according to the style, I actually expected it to be like a thin sweatshirt material. Because it is the same stretch material, the design looks awesome, but I feel like it would have been nicer if it had been a thicker material - something that might actually keep you a bit warmer in winter. So, while I do think this option is great, I think having other material selections would be ideal - I am imagining a stretchy sweatshirt and / or stretchy T-shirt material option. The important thing, is it needs to print really, really well to be in competition with this current appearance.)
3.) The material is kinda awesome and it kinda sucks. Like many said, it is very soft and comfortable, but it is almost exactly like a swimsuit, and probably most of you when you were a child made the mistake of sitting on a concrete step in a swimsuit... and you know how easy that material snags – on everything. Realistically, when you are working out you might be around equipment (like gloves) that have Velcro on them and you are not going to be "worrying about your clothes" when lifting weights. (Like you know, when the fitness equipment is a bit older and the fake leather has a rupture in it – and then SNAG.)
I find this a major issue with items marketed as being fitness clothes... This shirt is almost exactly the same kind of material as a surf shirt that I own. - they are commonly sold to keep you slightly warmer in the water, protected from stinging critters like jellyfish and blocked from the sun (SPF protection), but in the context of a gym, the requirements are simply different. Adding to this point, most women prefer what I would call "compression garments" for fitness, because they keep naturally fattier areas, like breasts and thighs, in place when doing intense /cardio sports like jogging. Regarding this, this swimsuit material is too thin and, in my opinion, not supportive enough. Like can we even call it fitness wear at this point? Yoga wear maybe… But most people don’t want to be limited by their clothes! – Especially not at this price point.
4.) Another huge issue that I am having is that my design is shifting from what I see in the mock up to the product that I got shipped in the mail. I ordered a medium, so it shouldn’t be based on the size. If I cannot fix this, I will not feel confident about stocking it in my store. I simply need my design to show up centered where I want it to be placed.
5.) In essence the fitness set, including this crop top looks amazing because it prints amazing, but due to the severe drawbacks listed above, I can not justify the high price for this product. I am scared about how it will wear knowing that the fabric is not exactly suitable for the intention of being fitness wear. Therefore, even though I like it, I implore Printful not to stop here and to improve this collection of very cool products. – I imagine that real fitness spandex materials would print just as nicely. And again, for some, this may be the perfect solution so I do think this material should stay as a variant option but it should be made clear what it is.

Did not need massive, wasteful paper catalog

April 25, 2024The tshirts themselves are great. Minus one start because I was displeased, however, to receive a MASSIVE 1-lb paper catalog with my order. This is incredibly non-environmentally-friendly. If I need future products, I will browse online. Nobody is ordering from catalogs anymore, at least not enough people to justify this massive waste of paper. This makes me hesitate to support the company again in the future despite the fact that our t-shirt quality was superb. I’m sure the weight of this enormous catalog added to shipping costs as well, which seems unnecessary regardless of whether the cost was absorbed by me or by the company. Also shocking to receive a catalog of this size considering we only purchased 3 shirts for our rec pickleball team. We’re clearly not a large corporate account. Please rethink this environmentally harmful practice. It’s 2024.
